This captivating piece of architecture is located in Huainan, China, built in 2007 by architectural students at Hefei University of Technology. The Violin is made completely out of glass and houses the staircase/escalator that connects to the piano. The grand piano portion stands on three concrete legs and features a roof terrace beneath a canopy – the piano's open top. The piano and violin were built to a scale of 50:1. The piano building houses two concert halls and is used by music students from a local college. Because of its unique shape it has become a popular tourist place and many newly weds have their photo taken in its front. The locals have dubbed it “the most romantic building in China”.
