The Seagull Has Landed!

Luther HarrisComment

Seagull guitars that is. In keeping with our year in preview and adding new partnerships throughout the year, we have now partnered with Godin Guitars to bring you their lines of Seagull acoustic guitars and La Patrie classical guitars.

All Seagull Guitars and La Patrie Classical Guitars are made in Canada from start to finish.

There is a small quiet village in the eastern townships of Quebec that has been the backbone of guitar building in Canada for over 30 years. This village of guitar builders is dedicated to the art & tradition of hand crafting guitars. They’re meticulous in every aspect of building these guitars, which leads them towards the creation of exceptional instruments that they themselves can be proud to name after the very place they are from. This is the village of La Patrie… and these are their guitars.

It was here in 1982, where Robert Godin of Godin Guitars produced the first Seagull guitars. The concept for the Seagull guitar was to take the essential components of the best hand-crafted guitars (such as solid tops and beautiful finishes) and build these features into guitars that could be priced within the reach of working musicians.

While the Seagull guitars were created for the working musician, the La Patrie guitars took that concept a step further in the arena of classical guitars. All La Patrie guitars feature select pressure tested solid cedar tops. Graded and tested for their excellence and structural integrity. The wood used in these tops can be found only in previously fallen cedar trees that have an average age of about 800 years. La Patrie guitars also feature a Custom Polished finish, which is reminiscent of the French polish of the 19th Century.

We are very excited to have partnered with Godin guitars to bring you their lines of Seagull Guitars and La Patrie Classical Guitars.
